Hayle Chun is a globally experienced operating executive with deep cross-functional expertise across strategy, commercial growth, finance, and partnership development within the sports, media, and marketing industries. He has led complex, multi-billion-dollar businesses and global portfolios, translating vision into disciplined operations, governance frameworks, and scalable commercial models. Across agencies, rights holders, broadcasters, and global brands, Hayle is known for building alignment among diverse stakeholders and delivering results.
Hayle currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Onboard Sports Advisory, a newly launched consultancy within On Board Experiential (OBE), a full-service global marketing agency operating across six continents. In this role, he advises brands, properties, and stakeholders on how to structure, value, and govern sports marketing investments amid growing financial scrutiny, media fragmentation, and heightened executive-level accountability. Hayle is also responsible for business operations and management for Onboard Sports Advisory.
Prior to this role, Hayle was Vice President for Business Operations at U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties (USOPP), the commercial joint venture between Los Angeles 2028 and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. A member of the executive leadership team since 2019, he directed strategy, operations, and stakeholder relationships for the multi-billion dollar business, which has grown to become the single largest commercial effort in the history of sport.
Central to Hayle’s role was business and financial planning across USOPP revenue streams, including sales, partnerships, fundraising, licensing, ticketing, and hospitality. As one of USOPP’s earliest hires, Hayle shaped commercial initiatives and governance frameworks with stakeholders across the Olympic and Paralympic Movement, such as the IOC, IPC, USOPC, and NBC, designing and delivering LA28 & Team USA program and assets. Hayle was also responsible for revenue generation across LA28/USOPP’s media properties, including broadcast, outdoor, and digital/social. Additionally, Hayle oversaw operational planning for the onsite commercial team at the Paris 2024 Games and the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Games.
Previously, Hayle led partnership marketing for many of USOPP’s global TOP and domestic sponsors, including the launch of LA28’s Founding Partners program, with Delta Air Lines and Comcast. His duties included rights negotiation, marketing and media rights, and partner activation delivery.
Before joining USOPP, Hayle worked extensively at the intersection of the global marketing and media industries. At Endeavor, Hayle was VP of Global Partnerships, advising strategy for many of the world’s largest brands like Coca-Cola, GE, P&G, and Visa, across several of the world’s greatest properties, including the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, and FIFA Women’s World Cup.
In 2013 Hayle was recruited by Samsung Electronics to move to South Korea to lead sponsorship marketing for the global business. During his time, he successfully negotiated various worldwide agreements, including Samsung’s Olympic sponsorship renewal. Hayle also led strategy and activation for FIFA World Cup, World Surf League, and multiple Olympic & Paralympic Games.
Hayle’s career in global sports began at NBCUniversal, where he was one of the founding members of the NBC Sports & Olympics Digital team. He led business development and product management for many NBC properties, including the Olympic Games, NFL, NHL, U.S. Open, and Wimbledon. Among various recognitions for their digital innovations, Hayle earned a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding New Approaches - Sports Event Coverage.
A graduate with honors from Harvard University, Hayle also earned an MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business. He lives with his wife and two sons in New York City.
